Using BountyPad involves real financial risk. You can lose some or all of the SOL and tokens you use with it. Only use money you can afford to lose, and make sure you understand the risks below before you launch a token, fund a bounty, buy a token or spend time on bounty work.
Nothing on BountyPad is investment, financial, legal or tax advice, and nothing on BountyPad is a promise of returns. This page doesn't list every possible risk.
Token prices can go to zero
Token prices can fluctuate wildly and can go to zero. Most tokens launched on bonding-curve platforms such as Pump.fun lose most or all of their value. Liquidity can disappear, and there may be no buyer for a token at any price.
Tokens on BountyPad are not described or offered as investments. A project that runs bounties, completes missions or attracts contributors is not more likely to see its token gain value. BountyPad does not vet, audit or endorse projects, teams or tokens, and project teams can abandon a project, sell their tokens or mislead holders.
Prices, market caps and other market data shown on BountyPad come from on-chain data, may be delayed, incomplete or unavailable, and are not quotes or offers.
No advice, no promised returns
BountyPad does not give investment advice or recommendations. Project pages, bounties, reputation scores and leaderboards describe activity; they are not signals to buy or sell. Anyone who promises returns or predicts a token's price, including a project on BountyPad, speaks only for themselves and breaks our rules.
The legal treatment of tokens varies by country and can change. You are responsible for knowing whether you may acquire, hold or trade a token where you live, and for any taxes on your trading and bounty income.
What the escrow does, and doesn't, protect
Bounty rewards are held in an on-chain escrow program that BountyPad cannot withdraw from. Escrowed funds can only go to an approved contributor's wallet, or back to the project's treasury after a cancellation before the deadline or after the review window expires.
The escrow proves the reward exists; it doesn't guarantee that you'll be paid. Payouts need the project owner's signature, and projects decide which work to accept. If a project never pays, the unpaid funds return to its treasury after the review window, and BountyPad can't force a payment.
Only funds inside a bounty's escrow are locked. SOL a project keeps in its treasury without allocating it to a bounty can be withdrawn by the project owner at any time.
Software can fail. A bug or vulnerability in the escrow program, Pump.fun's programs, wallets or the Solana network could cause funds to be lost or locked.
Transactions are irreversible
Blockchain transactions are irreversible. Once a transaction is confirmed, BountyPad cannot cancel, reverse or refund it, including payments to the wrong address, wrong amounts, or transactions you signed without reading.
Always check what your wallet shows before you sign. The Solana network can be congested or go down, and transactions can fail, be delayed or expire, sometimes still costing network fees.
Protect your wallet
BountyPad never asks for your seed phrase or private key: not by email, direct message, support chat or any form on this site. Anyone who asks is trying to steal your funds. If your wallet is compromised, BountyPad cannot recover your funds or reverse transactions.
- Sign in only at the official BountyPad website, [official domain].
- Watch out for impersonators, fake support accounts and fake airdrops.
- Check a token's mint address, not just its name or ticker; anyone can create a token with the same name.
- Treat unexpected signature or approval requests as suspicious, and reject anything you don't understand.
Bounty work may not be paid
Work you do for a bounty may not be selected or paid. Unless a bounty's structure explicitly guarantees payment, the project decides what to accept. A project can cancel a bounty before its deadline, reject your work, or fail to pay before the review window ends, and a dispute can't force a payment. The time and effort you put in are at your own risk.
Rewards are paid in SOL, whose value in other currencies changes constantly.
Network and service risks
BountyPad runs on Solana mainnet with real SOL. Tokens launched on Pump.fun can lose all of their value, and a bounty reward is only as valuable as SOL is when it's paid. Always check which network you're on: the site footer shows it.
BountyPad and the services it depends on, including Supabase, Vercel, Solana RPC providers, wallets and Pump.fun, can be unavailable, slow or wrong. What BountyPad displays can lag behind the blockchain, which is always the source of truth.
